MedShred's patented waste processor units utilize an EPA approved disinfecting solution and within minutes of the treatment process, MedShred treated waste is rendered benign.  For on-site generator services the resulting material is deposited into existing hospital waste compactors for disposal as ordinary municipal solid waste.  Significant waste volume reduction is another benefit of the technology, with some generators experiencing up to 85% reduction in the resulting end-product.
